young adults & college students
Let’s face it, whether you’re in college or not, young adulthood is chock full of change. Some of it’s fun, some confusing, and some is just utterly miserable. It is a time when you are becoming who you are, a time when you get to figure out what matters most.
For much of my career, I’ve worked with youth, young adults and college students. I positively loved working in college counseling centers (Smith College, Mount Holyoke College and Amherst College) and am continually enlivened by my work with folks who are in this stage of life. I am well versed in the unique challenges and opportunities that students in both virtual and in-person higher education settings face and welcome the opportunity to support you as you navigate them.
Whether you are making sense of how you grew up, discovering or rediscovering your identity(ies), grappling with past trauma, struggling to balance new life responsibilities, learning to express your boundaries, feeling unmotivated or stressed - there are ways forward! You can be fiercely independent, and still maintain your interconnectedness. You can be traumatized and still build new meaningful and safe relationships with others. You can develop creative and compassionate ways to balance all of life’s responsibilities.
Entering therapy, especially for the first time (or the first time as an adult) can be a little overwhelming. I am here to answer your questions and to co-create a healing space that works for you. We’ll place your goals and needs at the center!
